In NNZ, sustainability means nurturing and building long-lasting relationships with our employees, customers and suppliers. NNZ believes in progress, for humans and for the environment. We embrace the United Nations sustainability development goals (SDG’s) and incorporate these in our day-to-day business.

Together we identified SDG’s that we need to address strategically, given the nature of our own businesses and the external environment. With our packaging technologies, our people and social responsibility at the core of our business, we contribute to the SDG’s 5, 7, 8, 9 and 12, our pillars of sustainability:

• SDG 5: Achieve gender equality and empower all women (target 5.5);
• SDG 7: Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable and modern energy (target 7.2);
• SDG 8: Ensure inclusive and sustainable economic growth, employment and decent work for our people (target 8.8);
• SDG 9: Build resilient infrastructure: promoting sustainable industrialisation and fostering innovation (target 9.5);
• SDG 12: Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns (target 12.5).

With each of these pillars underpinned by SDG 13 (Climate Change), our reliable and ethical approach.

This is where we can deliver the greatest value and we will therefore actively promote business initiatives in these specific areas.
